…and if that quote didn’t vow you the unusual sizable budget mountainous hide “Land of the Lost” film isn’t exactly directed at the Saturday morning TV crowd… I fondly consume spending those mornings in the 70’s with Will, Holly, Dr. Marshall and the Sleestak, so when I heard Will Ferrell would be taking the lead I was scream in the knowledge that the campiness of the novel Sid and Marty Kroft point to would be preserved. As fate would have it this preservation extends even to the cheesy theme song which Ferrell nearly performs in one scene…this theme song splendid distinguished covers the series and movie’s premise…the aforementioned characters, on a “less than” routine expedition via an earthquake and a tachyon gadget (this portion is recent) extinguish up in a parallel place they call the “Land of the Lost” complete with prehistoric critters and lizardmen. Unlike the series they need to collect Dr. Marshall’s misplaced gadget in order to derive home, this leads to lots of mishaps and peruse gags. But as I mentioned, this is not your father’s “Land of the Lost” this is a Will Ferrell, albeit watered down, but nonetheless, a Will Ferrell film, so as you’d examine there is overt vulgar references flying aplenty, including hot Sleestak-on-Sleestak action (not really on mask), nothing to cringe-worthy…although some drug and vague sexual jokes.
“LOTL” is bookended by a “TODAY” reveal sequence in which Matt himself interviews Dr. Marshall about is kooky space/time theories and then again later interviews a vindicated Dr. Marshall at the movie’s kill. Dr. Marshall is classic Will Ferrell, the pompous, dimwitted boob he plays soooo well, so you know precisely what you will rep upon entering the theater. This time he is a nutty paleontologist who has a exclusive fixation on “Chorus Line” and comfort food binges. “Land of the Lost” is more “Elf” than “Anchorman”, I guess. What is unusual here is the digital dino and vast bug notice candy, not really the norm for a Ferrell film, more in the spirit of Ringo Starr’s “Caveman” than “Jurassic Park” though (especially the cave-boy-speak) .

The kitsch aside, if possible, “LOTL” includes some impressive sets, some accurate to the unusual reveal, like the Sleestak ruins and some less Kroft, but equally cold, parallel world Bermuda Triangle parallel world clutter ala desert complete with missing ships, planes and gas stations. Also moral to the Kroft stare are the Sleestak lizard people (one of which is voiced by Leonard Nimoy a.k.a Spock) who explore largely unchanged, but I’d have bought a designate objective for them anyway.
I went into this film not expecting a whole lot. But because of curiosity from watching it growing up and the fact that my kids wanted to behold it I ended up being gratified with my 1.5 hours spent. The scenes that bookend the movie with Matt Lauer were the best, but I also enjoyed Ferrell’s constant harrassment of Cha-ka. The drug share could have been passe for something that was actually comical. Danny McBride had some laughable moments that were over the head of my kids (thank goodness) mostly with Anna Friel who played it straight through the whole movie and was there to provide some `eye candy’ for the leisurely teens and older crowd. CGI effects were marvelous and the Sleestacks were spacious! Not a lot of laugh out loud moments for me (except the bookends) but worth a rental on a weekend night and some popcorn. PG-13 for a reason- you know your fill kids, go with your beget judgment.

Medium is definitely one of the best acted and written shows on television. Recently, NBC, canceled this series, which makes no sense whatsoever considering it aloof has mountainous ratings, but not to alarm, CBS in all it’s infinite wisdom picked up the prove from NBC, and will be airing it after Ghost Whisperer on Fridays! Now the explain will definitely regain the props and attention it deserves, because it truly is one of the best shows on television. If you haven’t seen an episode of Medium, I suggest it highly, because it is definitely one of the best written and acted shows on television! This past season was absolutely apt, and the last episode of this season was unbiased absolutely wonderful! This is Must Inspect TV!
This note has a likable, gigantic cast. I honestly withhold forgetting that Patricia Arquette is acting. She is so convincing that it’s hard not to consume the character of Allison seriously, instead of “what a loon.” I’m a mom and it’s Astonishing to inspect someone who looks like a mom instead of glamourous star with tons of makeup. Joe and Allison have right fights. Joe isn’t perfect. Allison isn’t perfect. Their marriage deals with faith and trust in each other, broken cars, losing jobs, taking kids to the doctor, etc. I esteem the family relationships. The kids act like, well, normal kids. Is anyone else tired of “super-brainy,” mouthy brats being promoted on TV?

The DA, lead detective, and deputy mayor create up the other side of Allison’s life. Another ample ensemble! All three are down to earth and none fit into the usual niches of their roles. The DA doesn’t act like a law book. The lead detective doesn’t act like Starsky or Hutch. The deputy mayor is both logical and calming. They’re bright characters and I would like to hear more of their stories, too.
I was SO elated that CBS picked up “Medium!” I am hoping that CBS will do a better job in promoting this petite gem filled with a unusual mystery every week. With NBC and its crazy scheduling, I missed the first couple of episodes before I knew that it was benefit on the air. Never got to scrutinize reruns during the summer–I hope that changes.

1) The Stewardess – This was made in 1975, before airplanes had an AED on board (my former department got their first AED in 1991) . Roy and Johnny are returning to Los Angeles from Sacramento, and a man had a heart attack on the plane. Roy and Johnny expend 30 minutes with this patient until landing and then on to Rampart (they are allowed to retrieve gear from the cargo acquire) . Today, airliners have an AED on board (and better packed first support kits) .
2) Equipment – This was made in 1976, before the advent of paramedic engine companies. Paramedic Gage is overtiming as a firefighter at Space 8 (normal for a gargantuan city department) when he and Captain Stone (who had been a paramedic) are treating a construction worker who had a heart attack and have to wait 25 minutes for cardiac drugs and a defibrillator because the only available squad was across town. Gage and Stone did their best with their brains and the equipment they had (as well as CPR), but the patient passed away. Had that happened today, Stone and Gage would of had the accurate equipment mighty earlier. REALLY makes you judge – it hits home for a firefighter and an EMT or paramedic. I don’t mediate any EMT or paramedic forgets the first patient they lost (I haven’t – he was a 48 y/o male who died of a heart attack) .

3) There are a few episodes in the Season 5 spot where Johnny and Roy are dispatched to meet the Soar Guard. Today, the Flit Guard has their believe EMT’s and Paramedics.
4) The Frequency episode in Season 3 was also a suited one, and there was one episode where a Priority Dispatch System was discussed. Priority Dispatch became reality down the road.
Newbie’s as well as old-timers can glimpse these episodes for the history of the Standard of Care in the mid-1970’s. Imprint the changes, and be thankful that your truck doesn’t carry a 42 pound defibrillator, and you have EMT-first responders on fire trucks and police cruisers. The appeal of Challenge of the Superfriends is in the fact that they waged an ongoing battle against staunch villains from the funny books. Most of which were pronounce counterparts i.e. Green Lantern/Sinestro, Flash/Captain Icy, Batman/Scarecrow, etc. So the battles never got repetitive the writers wisely mix-matched the contenders. And don’t forget the Legion’s very wintry Darth Vader-headed headquarters based underneath the swamp.

I purchased this for my son’s third birthday. He is absolutely crazy about superheros but most of the current superhero cartoons are too violent. This prove has all the superheros and is perfect for children young and old–we have had kids from 3-10 stare it and adore it. I highly recommend it!

Both of these movies are extremely piquant and superb for the entire family. The Apple Dumpling Gang is better than its sequel due to the interactions of all of the major stars. Susan Clark is righteous as Dusty, and Bill Bixby is fantastic and believable as Donovan. The children do an first-rate job and appear to have sterling on cloak presence. I would recommend it for children of all ages, including adults who are young at heart.

The Apple Dumpling Gang Rides Again is worthy, but it relies more on slapstick than the first movie. You miss the parts of Dusty and Donovan and the children. It is also a shrimp confusing that Harry Morgan plays in both productions, but plays two separate characters. They could have said that he was the Justice of the Peace’s twin brother or a sight alike relative. Of course he always does an suitable performance in whatever section he plays.
This substantial DVD package combines two of Disney’s classic movies – The Apple Dumpling Gang and The Apple Dumpling Gang Rides Again. The movies document the careers of Amos Tucker (played by Tim Conway) and Theodore Ogelvie (Don Knotts), two of the most incompetent outlaws to trip the Ragged West.
In The Apple Dumpling Gang, cardsharp and conman Russel Donovan (Bill Bixby) is conned into taking on three children. But, when they involve Amos and Theodore in his life, things rapidly go from dreadful to worse.

In The Apple Dumpling Gang Rides Again, Amos and Theodore reach out of retirement, suitable in time to drop afoul of Marshal Woolly Bill Hitchcock (Kenneth Mars), who is clear to finish the Apple Dumpling Gang humdrum in its tracks…literally. So, where can they screen?
Overall, I found these to be two tremendous movies. The Apple Dumpling Gang Rides Again is indeed more slapstick – Don Knotts and Tim Conway stole the first movie, and as such they are given free rein in this one – perhaps too remarkable, as the movie does seem to have a mighty less cohesive region than the first.
But, no matter how you sever it, this is a expansive DVD position, one that is determined to please the family. As a matter of fact, beyond the two movies there is a tall Goofy cartoon – Two Gun Goofy. Yeah, this is a stout DVD spot, one that should be in the library of every family with young one around…or even those fair young at heart. My family and I really enjoyed this space, and we highly recommend it to you and your family.

Ok, I admire the Thundercats. Many people I know assume I am crazy for this, but they don’t relish animation as grand as I do. And this series certainly deserves to be appreciated. That said, Season 2, fraction 1 of Thundercats on DVD is riddled with the same sound and video problems in the first couple of sets. Even so, it is level-headed worth the catch.

The introduction of original characters is extraordinary. After watching the mutants battle the Thundercats fifty times, it is very welcome. What I don’t like though is how many of the characters from season one become nearly non existent. The mutants lovely powerful move. Although, Mumm-ra calls on them occasionally to do his bidding and Vultureman trys numerous times to join the Luna-Tacs. While I am on the subject of things happening many times, I should probably mention how many times Mumm-ra switches bodies or takes on the gain of someone and fools the thundercats every time. He does this at least once every couple of episodes. They always seem to be after some kind of artifact too. The Book of Omens, the keystone, the thundercats necklace, the gorgon conceal, etc. They also enter the cave of time often enough for my liking. Also, derive mature to watching the Thundercats fight against each other. Oftentimes, you will peruse a combo of many of these things.
One other thing I want to mention is how the plots become more ridiculous. Remember how hard it was to repair Lion-O’s sword in season 1? Well, Bengali can easily repair it. Mumm-ra has a time machine and uses it very foolishly. Lion-O’s sword seems to solve every plight. Finally, my common one is when Snarfer goes to score Mexican food.

Lastly, I want to talk about the bonus features on these DVD’s. I reflect they are not as satisfactory as piece 2 of season 1, but certainly better than fragment 1. WB tried to do a music theme to these special features with the Rembrandts playing the Thundercats theme song. I have no belief why this was done, but it was gripping to say the least. They also did a minute making of documentary on it and had an interview with the composer of the new Thundercats theme music that was informative.
Overall, this site is worth buying, but be prepared for the same quality as the first discs with episodes that are not as wonderful. The unusual characters add too mighty depth and the episode plots fetch recycled plenty of times. Calm, it is a chilly display that deserves to be watched. If you only recognize one episode, originate obvious to eye Hair of the Dog. You will derive to study Snarf-ra, the ever-living.
I was waiting a long time for the Thundercats series to be released and finally they have.
Don’t rep me spoiled but personally i’d like to eye more special features (what’s this about The Rembrands? Ok they are fans but…who invited them?!)
The other thing i didn’t like was that they didn’t respect the novel drawings and in the front of the DVD’s they have current versions from the Thundercats.
I didn’t like that at all since they are not as salubrious as the originals
Other than the above,it’s diagram wintry to have THE Thundercats finally in your collection.

This is a typically formulaic Doris Day light comedy vehicle, but an fascinating one, nonetheless. The film centers around Day, a Public Relations expert and part-time mermaid impersonator, and her error filled romance with Rod Taylor, a genius engineer with a Jetsonesque house. The two of them do well in their respective roles, and the rest of the supporting cast is generally superior as well. Dick Martin is particularly superb as Taylor’s partner, and Arthur Godfrey is spacious as her Dad. Paul Lynde shines as a paranoid security guard, and is rewarded with a scene in scoot (you must glimpse the wig to fill it.) The only ragged link is Dom DeLuise as an inept survey. DeLuise is responsible for the one star downgrade, as I feel he frequently brings down otherwise perfect scenes.

The area isn’t heavy duty, it involves an artificial gravity machine, incompetent spies, and romance, but although lightweight, it is fun, and is certainly upbeat and agreeable for all audiences (what limited innuendo there is will flit moral past children, anyway.)
For a lighthearted, fun experience, I recommend “The Glass Bottom Boat.”

The Glass Bottom Boat is about everything that life was about in the 60’s. The Chilly War was in fleshy swing, James Bond had become a household name and Doris Day was unruffled the top box office actress. With all of this, how could the film go wrong- what could they lose? Doris Day and Rod Taylor had already lost alot in their previous film Do Not Disturb which many have never even heard of unless you are an avid Doris Day fan. All believed including the man responsible for many Jerry Lewis movies, Frank Tashlin that this would be a success. With Tashlin’s talent for spoofing the times the world was in, Glass Bottom Boat was unbiased what the doctor ordered.
The film begins by introducing the widowed Jennifer Nelson, played by Doris Day. She works at NASA with a part-time job as a mermaid for her father’s Glass Bottom Boat service. When Jennifer gets caught up, literally, she meets Bruce Templeton, played by Rod Taylor. She is not immediately impressed, and thankful that they will never recognize each other again, or so she thinks.
She soon finds out that she and Bruce are not only co-workers, but worse- he’s her boss! She then becomes his personal assistant who makes mysterious phone calls, which the bumbling security guard played by Paul Lynde believes to be to the recognize she is working for to acquire Bruce’s top secret GISMO to the Russians. This assumption soon becomes an ultimate security spot, and everyone is out to accumulate her.
Frank Tashlin really does a expansive job with his characters. Some unforgettable highlights of the film include Dom Deluise as a Public Address Installer (who uses the job as a veil for his true one) who ends up with he and Doris Day covered in banana cream cake and their legs stuck in a trash can, Paul Lynde dressed in shuffle to come by into the women’s restroom to search for what Jennifer was up to, and finally where Edward Andrews and Dick Martin meet up unexpectedly when they were supposed to be meeting with Jennifer for a twilight rendezvoux.
This really is a film that does not glean primitive. It holds up with some of the other comedy films of today. The acting wasn’t Oscar-worthy, but it wasn’t intended to be. The movies from this time were intended to be fun and to gain your mind off of the serious things going on around the world. For a superior laugh, peep this film. It composed works 40 years later- it puts a smile on your face and reminds you that things can always be worse!

Great movie that shows the changes in Chilean society, how women had taken over the role of men in a primitive macho society. It shows also how Chile is the beginning of changes in Latin America, more women climbing up the ladder in the work force and in the unfaithful role in society as men broken-down to do.
Esta pelicula es una gran obra de arte de Chile. El rodaje es estupendo y todos los personajes perfectos y muy reales. Hay mucha desnudez femenina y masculina en esta pelicula por el cual hay que advertir que no se puede presentar a menores. La pelicula es basada en el fenomeno de la infidelidad matrimonial y sexual. Dicen que en Chile (un pais bello) 62 porciento de las mujeres casadas son infieles. No se si ese comentario es cierto porque realemente, eso si que es mucho. Las infidelidades en esta pelicula causan dolores del corazon a las victimas y las victimas son muchas. Todas las familias afectadas por la infidelidad sufren en diferentes niveles y tambien hay situaciones donde las confrontaciones son muy fuertes. La pena es que, como en muchas situaciones, los culpables solo piensan en si mismas, sin pensar en las consecuencias ni a los que hieren, y luego intentan culpar a los demas por sus crimenes. Ciertamente, la infidelidad es un crimen de pasion que muy pocas veces es perdonado ni olvidado. El personaje de Prieto, al ser descubrido que tenia una relacion secreta con el marido de la directora del canal donde es reportera, pasa una verguenza muy humillante y dolorosa. Esta es una pelicula muy bien hecha, muy bien escrita y muy bien actuada. El paisaje es hermoso, mostrando que la ciudad de Santiago es preciosa. Como os he dicho esta es una gran obra de arte. Lo que falta en este DVD es que no tiene mucho de extras pero si tiene filmografias selectas para poder ver a estos actores en otras peliculas. Por su puesto, hay que apoyar a los nuestros, no? But in the greater scope of things, the lead romance takes backstage to the sincere relevance of this film: the first ever team-up of Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers (the fourth-billed on the roster) . On a personal level, this movie also has one of my celebrated one-liners: “What have these South Americans got below the equator that we haven’t? ”
Fred Astaire – help in his Broadway stage days, and partnered with his sister Adele – conventional to specialize in playing the musically gifted, nice all-American fella with no girl to romance (he certainly couldn’t romance his sister) and he carries that role over to this film. He plays Fred Ayres, sidekick and wingman to Raymond’s Roger Bond, who does all the heavy load of skirt-chasing. Fred has a relationship with Ginger’s Honey Hayes, but it seems to be strictly grounded in friendship, though flirting occurs. It won’t be until his next movie The Satisfied Divorcee that he becomes a romantic lead, the girl in seek information from being, of course, Ginger Rogers. It’s a bit ironic to me, though, that the more appetizing verbal exchanges seem to consume station between Fred and Honey, with the amorous Roger and Belinha (del Rio’s character) trading the more routine banter. The Astaire and Rogers partnership starts innocently enough with the challenging musical number “Music Makes Me” but the duo’s chemistry is in full-blown note with the eleven-minute-plus-long “The Carioca”, a song-and-dance routine that called for the participators to dance with their foreheads pressed together. Oh, Fred and Ginger don’t dance for the entire length of the number but, apparently, the audience saw enough to leave a lasting impression. Astaire gets his only singing assignment at the finale, warbling the title song as an astounding and disconcerting Busby Berkeley-type aerial routine goes underway. Sandwiched somewhere in the middle of the film, Roulien also croons “Orchids in the Moonlight”.
This movie became a financial success, which pulled the RKO studio out of imminent bankruptcy. Variety magazine reviewed the movie thus: “The main point of Flying Down to Rio is the conceal promise of Fred Astaire…. He’s assuredly a bet after this one, for he’s distinctly likeable on the mask, the mike is kind to his impart and as a dancer he remains in a class by himself. The latter observation will be no news to the professsion, which has long admitted that Astaire starts dancing where the others discontinuance hoofing”. With only Raymond and del Rio in the cast, this would’ve been a 2-and-a-half star rating from me, not dreadful but nothing special. As it is, I’m dropping down 4 stars on Flying Down to Rio, for frothy, spellbinding musicality and its historical significance in filmdom.

Flying Down To Rio featured the mountainous Delores Del Rio as Belinha De Rezende, a wealthy Brazilian young lady who must enter into an arranged marriage; and Gene Raymond playing Roger Bond, an American band manager who falls in care for with her practically at first contemplate. RKO intended for Flying Down To Rio to be a vehicle for Gene Raymond and Delores Del Rio. Gene Raymond injects a lot of peril to act rather convincingly as Roger Bond who is deeply in treasure with Belinha De Rezende; and Delores Del Rio plays Belinha beautifully.
At the same time, we witness Fred and Honey (Fred and Ginger) objective beginning to shine and they easily engage the prove two or three times throughout this recount. The Carioca dance scene is choreographed to perfection; and Fred and Ginger work wonders together throughout the rest of the film, too.
Will Belinha marry her husband to be Julio (Raul Roulien) and station aside her somewhat impulsive amorous feelings for band manager Roger? Will the band accumulate work in Rio? The DVD has a couple of extras but if you gain this DVD the film squarely remains the main event. You score a comedy short entitled Short Beer and Pretzels with Ted Healy and His Stooges and a cartoon entitled I Like Mountain Music.
I highly recommend this film for fans of Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers especially since this was their first film together. Their dancing even then was outstanding, to say the least. People who be pleased musicals from the golden age of Hollywood should fetch this film, too, to luxuriate in the numerous song and dance numbers. The dancing isn’t always the best, but you will like these musical numbers anyway.

The DVD Report
I began watching Sex and The City last year when I got the first season on DVD as a birthday prove. TV shows on DVD always seemed like a amazing notion to me, so I began watching this series hoping to collect something to indulge myself in. What I found was fabulous. It only took me two days to rep through the first dwelling. I imediately rushed out to accept Season Two and watched that in about a week. Thankfully for me, it was only about a month or so until Season Three came out. I watched season 3 savoring it as though it were my last breath of air. Since then I have seen a few episodes from Season Four (mostly the slay of the season) and watched the disappointing 5th Season on HBO. I recently found out that you can download sex and the city episodes on Kazaa, but I’d rather wait and sight carrie & co. on the finest format available. I know my review wasn’t very noble as far as reviewing Season Four, but if you secure yourself coming across this and you haven’t ever seen Sex And The City, I bustle you to plunge whatever you’re doing and prefer up the first season. It’s as respectable as everyone says it is. I can’t imagine anyone not being able to identify with one of these four characters, if not all of them. The point to is comical, refreshing, touching, shining and very endearing. At it’s best, its all of these at the same time. The performances are improbable, the cast is the best and the storylines are both very realistic and very addictive, making every episode of Sex as memorable as the first.
